Meet Vince
As President and Principal Consultant of The Governance Group, Vince applies his
extensive experience with and knowledge of governance issues and challenges to his
work with boards, councils and senior management and has conducted workshops and
seminars for hundreds of boards on board development and governance related topics.
His consulting style is best described in the words of some of his clients:
The facilitation and guidance provided by The Governance Group to the Architectural
Institute of British Columbia during the review and restructuring of our approach
to governance has been invaluable. Vince Battistelli is knowledgeable, articulate
and passionate about the subject of governance. He has taken the AIBC Council and
staff through visioning, goal-setting, and policy creation with clarity and creativity.
Vince understands that change engenders anxiety; and has responded to our concerns
patiently, and yet with a firmness that keeps us on track. The AIBC Council is now
leading by governing properly, thanks to Vince Battistelli.
John Davidson
Former President,
AIBC
Our decision to voluntarily implement fundamental change was not an easy one. Throughout
the process, Vince was patient, respectful, focused and sensitive to the needs of
all concerned. In his roles as board planning meeting facilitator, consultant, observer
and advisor, Vince demonstrated a thorough, expert knowledge of board governance
in the not-for-profit environment. It is also obvious from Vince's up-beat and professional
approach that he thoroughly enjoys his work".
